Umber

Umber listens to your room for 15 seconds, works out what gets through – traffic, voices, snoring or a hum – and plays a noise shaped to cover exactly that. Generated live on your iPhone or iPad.

What it does

Room scan: measures the noise in your room in eight frequency bands and shapes a masking noise to match. Analysed on your device; nothing is recorded, saved or sent.
A saved noise for each room – bedroom, office, hotel.
Nine more sounds to blend in: brown, pink, white and green noise, fan, rain, ocean, wind and womb, each with its own level.
Sleep timer that fades out slowly over the last 20 seconds.
Plays with the screen off; works with Siri, Shortcuts and the Lock Screen.
No ads, no accounts, no tracking. Works offline.
Available in 34 languages.

Umber needs no network connection. It asks for the microphone only when you start a room scan.
