Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
WiFi Heatmap AR ("the app") is built to work entirely on your device. We do not run servers that receive your data, we do not have user accounts, and we do not use analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs.
Data the app uses
- Wi-Fi information (network name and signal strength). Read locally through Apple's NetworkExtension API to draw your heatmap. Not sent to us or any third party.
- Location permission. Required by iOS to read Wi-Fi information. The app does not read, store or transmit your GPS location.
- Camera and motion (ARKit). Used live to place the heatmap on your floor. Camera images are never recorded, stored or uploaded.
- Your scans and dead-spot log. Stored only in the app's private storage on your device. Deleting the app deletes this data.
Speed test
When you start a speed test, the app downloads and uploads test data to Cloudflare's public speed-test endpoint (speed.cloudflare.com). Like any internet request, this reveals your IP address to Cloudflare. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details. No identifier from the app is attached.
Purchases
Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details. Purchase status is read on-device through StoreKit.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
Sharing
If you tap "Share heatmap", the image you choose is handed to the iOS share sheet and goes only where you send it.
